Pentecost Offering - Next
Sunday, Mother's Day, is the
Day of Pentecost. On this
day we join with Christians
around the world to
celebrate God's gift of the
Holy Spirit to the church.
We also receive the
Pentecost Offering, which
benefits children at risk,
youth and young adults.
Forty percent of the
Offering stays with our
congregation to be used to
assist our youth to go to
South Carolina to build
Habitat for Humanity housing
for families. Sixty percent
will support General
Assembly ministries that
advocate for children and
provide leadership
development opportunities
for our youth and young

Charleston Civic Chorus
Spring Concert - Please join

afternoon of extraordinary
new choral music as the
Charleston Civic Chorus
presents its Spring Concert
on this afternoon at 3:00
p.m. in the Baptist Temple
sanctuary.
The
program will feature several
new works, including the
beautiful Five Hebrew Love
Songs with guest violinist
Mary Odin. The Charleston
Civic Chorus is extremely
fortunate to have Mary's
exquisite violin
accompaniment on this
portion of the concert.
Don't miss it! Note that
seven members of the Geneva
choir are also members of
the Charleston Civic
Chorus. They are: Carole
Carter, Kathy Lynch, Jim
Merrill, Kari Preslar, Tom
Marchio, Beverly Haskell and

Affordable Housing Hall of
